About Me
"For me, music has always been a means of telling a story by taking a listener on a journey whilst audibly "moving" them.
If I have elicited an emotional response from the audience, then I have succeeded."
Coming from a family of musicians and instrument makers, I began my musical training at Beau Soleil music college in Cape Town, South Africa where, between the ages of 7 and 18, I graduated achieving both Grade 8 Theory and Practical, through the Associated Boards of the Royal Schools Of Music (ABRSM) and Trinity College London.
This began my journey both as a composer and musician. I was mentored by some of the best national and international teachers, such as Hermina De Groote, (mother and Teacher of SA Pianist, Steven De Groot), as well as Tchaikovsky Conservatorium violinist and lecturer, Farida Bacharova. I was fortunate enough to have lecturers such as these available in both a personal capacity as one-on-one tutors and also as orchestral masters.
After studying first-year music at the South Africa College of Music, I expanded my studies to include media and film, graduating in 2011 with a triple major bachelor's degree. My background in music spans live and studio-based work over 2 decades, and I have performed a variety of genres and groups, including classical orchestras, jazz quartets, rock, and even heavy metal bands. In 2017 I joined one of Cape Town's premier music production houses, Cosher Recording Studios. I was with Cosher until Dec 2023, and worked on over 2500 pieces of music ins every style imaginable.

Due to my proficiency on multiple instruments, as well as my training in orchestration, I play an integral part of the musical productions, taking on the compositional and arrangement roles as well as a session musician.
I am always working on new music, and consistently pushing to learn new styles and genres that I haven't been part of befrore. My passions are an eclectic mix, from Film score, Dark Synth and Electro , Rock, Synthwave, Epic music, Jazz and Hybrid Music. In my down-time, I write purely for the love of music.
